Google Ads landing pages: what yours needs to turn clicks into enquiries

Your ad gets the click; your landing page decides whether it becomes an enquiry. Here is what a focused landing page needs.

Many businesses spend carefully on Google Ads keywords and bids, then send every click to their home page. The ad did its job, but the visitor lands on a page that talks about everything except what they searched for, and leaves. A dedicated landing page is often the simplest way to make the same ad budget work harder.

What is a landing page?

A landing page is a page built for one purpose: turning visitors from a specific ad or campaign into an enquiry, booking or sale. Unlike your home page, it focuses on a single offer and a single next step.

1. Match the ad message

If your ad says "Same-day AC repair in Dubai", the page should say the same thing at the top. When the headline matches what people searched and clicked, they know immediately they are in the right place.

Google also looks at landing page experience when judging ad quality, so relevance helps on both sides.

2. One clear call to action

Decide the one action you want: call, WhatsApp, fill a form or book. Make that button obvious near the top and repeat it further down. Remove menus and links that pull people away from that action.

3. Fast and mobile-first

Most ad clicks arrive on phones. Keep the page light: compressed images, minimal scripts and no heavy sliders. Test it on a real phone over a mobile connection, not only on office Wi-Fi.

4. Answer the questions that stop people

Explain what you offer, who it is for, where you work, how the process works and what happens after they enquire. Add genuine trust signals such as your business details, policies and real photos of your work. Never invent reviews, client logos or results.

5. A short, easy form

Ask only for what you need to respond: usually name, phone or email and a short message. Every extra field gives people a reason to stop. Make sure error messages are clear and the form works on mobile.

6. Track every enquiry

Set up conversion tracking for form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks before the campaign runs. Without it, Google cannot optimise for real results and you cannot tell which keywords bring customers.

Landing page or service page?

A strong service page on your website can work as a landing page if it is focused, fast and matches the ad. Dedicated landing pages make sense when you run several campaigns with different offers, audiences or locations, such as separate pages for India and Dubai.

Mistakes that waste ad clicks

Sending all ads to the home page. Using a headline that does not match the search. Hiding the phone number. Long forms. Slow pages full of large images. Pop-ups that cover the offer on mobile. And launching without tracking, so nobody knows which part is failing.

Build it once, improve it over time

A good landing page is never really finished. Once tracking is in place, test one change at a time, such as the headline, the offer or the form length, and keep what brings more enquiries.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate landing page for every ad?

Not always. Group ads by offer or service and give each group a focused page. Separate pages help when offers, audiences or locations differ.

Can a landing page help my Quality Score?

Landing page experience is one of the factors Google considers. A relevant, fast, easy-to-use page supports better ad quality, though no page can guarantee a specific score.

Should a landing page be indexed by Google?

It depends. Pages built only for ads are often set to noindex to avoid duplicating your service pages. Service pages you want found in search should stay indexable.
